Happy fourth of July to all Americans on this day. Let us not forget all that our country stands for and all that our forefathers put into place.
Notably, let us remember that we all have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to raise our families as we see fit and seek our fortunes without government intervention or interference. The right to assemble freely and speak out about our grievances with ans about government entitities.
We have the right to worship in any community of our chosing with with like minded believers. We have the right to display our beliefs and pray where and when we want. That is beautiful!
The right to vote for those who will govern us and the right to run for any public office as we see fit. We are free from tyranny and from those who rule just because they are born into a certain aristocracy.
We have two documents that clearly spell out our freedoms; The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
Most importantly, we cannot forget those who died and sacrificed so that we can peacefully live in this great nation. Men are still giving there lives today so that we can be free. We should be thinking about them evertime we lay our heads on our pillows and are able to sleep peacefully. There should be no complacency or absent mindedness when it comes to the duties we have to our country and to those who have made the ultimate sacrifices so that we can be secure.
Today, my prayer is that God continue to bless the USA and all who defend its shores!
When asked about Swine Flu, Paris Hilton said, “I don’t eat that.” While never surprised by the astoundingly intelligent answers that the beautiful heiress provides, she does represent most of the American population. No one knows exactly how the disease is contracted.

If you listen to Obama’s White House Press Conference of April 29, the President says that change is happening.Change is happening but is it for the better?
Obama talked about the budget he proposed, which was passed by the House yesterday.He failed to say that it is a record breaker with 3.5 trillion dollars in spending with more money is being thrown to energy efficiency and reducing our global footprint.
Obama is going to solve all of our problems with more government spending.More spending equals more government and more bureaucracy.More spending does not help economic conditions.Eventually, these programs have to be paid for whether we are paying, our children are paying, our grandchildren are paying, or our grandchildren’s children are paying.The economy gets weaker the more government spends and the more money that is taken out of citizens pockets.
The result of Obama’s budget would put the pieces in place for more energy legislation which changes economic conditions for the worst. Obama’s budget evokes a Cap and Trade policy.It caps greenhouse emissions, hurting big business while proposing more spending for renewable energy programs.
A report by the US Chamber of Commerce’s Coalition for Affordable American Energy says that market shares would shift so in the energy sector that their would be lower returns on investment on domestic oil and petroleum products.Coal shares would also decline too.Shares for natural gas would only increase slightly.Share of renewable energy are expected to rise so that energy use would contract.
Therefore because of the cost of energy that business and consumers would face higher energy costs.Energy drives our market so that costs of goods and services will rise while household income and household consumption would fall.Is this all really necessary in this day and age?Do we really need an energy program that is going to lighten consumers’ wallets even more?
In other words, all we are doing with this budget is paying for Obama’s energy policy.We are paying to decrease America’s global footprint when we already have more caps than businesses can handle.When does it stop?
All Obama’s promises of a hope and better economic future are not going to be any time soon if at all due to his energy policy.This is the greatest form of Socialism ever imposed on this country.I don’t believe that any president has ever tried to effect markets so.
Obama is extreme.What the American electorate will have is 265 days plus three years more of buyers’ remorse.
I want to clearly state that Patrick Toomey, fully has my support as for United States Senator in 2010. He did before Arlen Specter became a Democrat.He is the best man for the job since he will follow Republican principals and is an economic Conservative.As I have said before, the party has to get back to basics and back to its roots.Republicans have to stop playing both sides of the fence.
Arlen Specter’s change of sides has fostered a frenzy among PA Republicans when there need not be.I have received two notes in the past hour asking me to consider other candidates.Those who are trying to “Centralize” the party are trying to draft people like Tom Ridge and others who are liberals.I am totally committed to Pat Toomey and will help anyway I can for him to be elected in 2010.
I was so excited about Senator Specter’s switch that I couldn’t even sleep last night.I was thinking about not only about the future of the PA Republican party but nationally what this means.I am encouraged by Senator Specter bidding us, “Adieu!”I really think that this means that now, the Republican Party can be a party of principle without the ranking Senate Republican trying to move the party left.
Oddly, Specter was elected in the same year that Reagan was elected president.Our greatest president, Reagan showed our party that we had to have principles in order to move forward and that we had to stick to our principles at all times.Since that time, we have seen Specter move further and further to the left, beginning with the intense opposition he had to Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork.
Specter then started participated in the, “Big Tent Theory,” proposed by GOP Chair Lee Atwater who later regretted proposing that theory.He has a 100% approval rating with Planned Parenthood, is against a Marriage Amendment, and most recently voted for Obama’s Pork Barrel Stimulus Bill.He has moved the Republican Party so far to the left that the party has become undefined.
I praise the election of Michael Steele as GOP Chairman.After hearing his statements yesterday about Specters change, I know that he is ready to take the steps to move the party back to its base.In a written statement yesterday, Steele said, “Let’s be honest-Senator Specter didn’t leave the GOP based on principles of any kind.He left to further his personal political interests because he knew that he was going to lose a Republican primary due to his left-wing voting record.”Mr. Steele is spot on.Arlen Specter is for Arlen Specter.We have no room opportunists in our party.
Specter arrogantly said in a White House press conference this morning that, “I am unwilling to subject my 29 year record in the US Senate to the PA Republican primary electorate.”He was slapping the hand that fed him all these years.According to Specter, the people don’t decide when he goes, he does.He has been a part of the establishment so long that he thinks he has a right to be.His audacity never fails to amaze me.
The only thing that angers me about Arlen’s switch is that he did not do it years ago instead of damaging our party and going against our doctrine and belief.He has let Democrat principles leak in to our party’s nature.We have to turn back.People don’t even know who to vote for because candidates, who used to be as different as night and day, are now looking similar.We confused the electorate.
The Democrats are now in power and they are not pandering to Republicans.There is not any so called, “bi-partisanship.”The Democrat party knows it has power and they act like it.The country is headed left thanks to Democrats and there is no regard as to how others on the other side of the aisle feel.When the Republicans are in power, bureaucrats like Specter would always compromise and play both sides of the fence.You cannot please everyone.
I am so positive about Arlen’s change of colors that I can taste a Pat Toomey victory.Arlen only won by 1% in the Republican primary against Toomey in 2004, what would be different now.Arlen’s days are numbered.PA Republicans must rally behind Toomey, not only for the sake of the Republican victory but for the sake of its values.
In 2010, there is a chance to send a message to Washington and change the majority in both houses.Our President and his administration are so far to the left that voters will want balance and a move back to the right and back to the principles are country was founded upon.They did not want the President’s Stimulus package.They do not want holy symbols covered up as they did at Georgetown.They do not want to see the UC President appeasing Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega.They do not want the country to turn to Socialism.
Therefore, redefinition of the Republican Party back to being the party of Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum would make us winners.This is an uphill battle and there is no room for complacency.Republicans need to pledge to become activists again by staying informed, donating time and money, and organizing, not only for the party but for the love of the United States.
Arlen Specter has finally shown his true colors.He has been beaten in preliminary polls for next year’s Senate race by Pat Toomey by as much as 21 points.Therefore he is changing parties in the Senate and will run as a Democrat in 2010.

The darling of the media is being dethroned.Barack Obama has the second lowest approval rating of all the presidents in the past forty years, only surpassing Bill Clinton.Barack is far too extreme for this country and governing from the far left.He is also an inexperienced leader who does not know how to handle world affairs and crises.
Let’s see a rundown.First, Obama used his middle name of “Hussein,” in his inauguration speech as homage to Islam. Second, the covering up references to Jesus Christ at Georgetown on April 15, 2009.Third, vowing to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act.Fifth, shaking hands with Hugo Chavez, a thug who has consistently assailed America’s values.Fourth, being in the middle of a health crisis and not having key posts in place like the Secretary of Health and Human Services and Surgeon General. These are changes that America does not believe in.
I think the media will even start to give in eventually.The news agencies remind me of the yellow journalism of early twentieth century.If they report enough that Obama is the redeemer, he will be.If you build it, they will come!Nonsense!The American people know better.
It is up to us who care about this country to be organizing and looking for a better candidate for 2012.We cannot sit back just because Obama’s approval rating is low.Even Clinton got a second term.
Traditional marriage has come under attack.The media is often portraying same sex marriage as, “the norm.”Many courts are trying to redefine marriage to include same sex marriage.Churches are being harassed when they talk out against homosexuality and same sex marriage.President Obama, an extremist, has even vowed to repeal DOMA, The Defense of Marriage Act which his Democratic predecessor signed.
National Organization for Marriage is a group that keeps traditional marriage in the forefront and protects churches and other organizations that stand in favor of it. The organization seeks to educate on pro-marriage issues and create activists that will stand up for marriage between a man and a woman in churches, in the voting booth, in the legislative realm, and academia.
The group ultimately seeks to have an amendment to settle the gay marriage issue and protect traditional marriage.The group feels that this will show this generation and future generations the true meaning of marriage.A Marriage Amendment would also supersede state law and keep individual jurisdictions from redefining marriage.
It is important for everyone who is pro traditional marriage to get involved.Daily, the lines are being pushed on what marriage actually is.For example, there is a group of pro-gay political donors that constantly pumps money into state elections and seeks to “Stop the Rick Santorums of tomorrow.”Marriage is threatened within twelve states with one, Massachusetts already permitting same sex marriage.Action has to be taken now.

My interpretation is that this is a sick homage to a man who is very bad for this country.Not only does he not believe in Jesus, but he purposely left his middle name of “Hussein,” in his inauguration speech to purport his Muslim heritage.He has not gone to church since he became president as so many presidents have done in the past.
On April 15, 2009, Georgetown University at the request of the White House, cowardly covered references to Jesus all over Gaston Hall, the Georgetown venue Obama spoke at.The “IHS,” which in Latin stands for Iesus Hominum Salvator, Jesus, Savior of men was purposely covered up and blacked out in accordance with the White House.
Clearly, Obama’s government is acting as many communist and socialist governments have, take out all references to religion and make the Dictator the center of the government.
In January, artist Matthew J. Clark, depicted in sculpture, Obama riding a donkey, like Jesus Christ did when he rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.Louis Farrakhan, Nation of Islam leader, has also said that when Obama talks its like, “the Messiah is speaking.”
I think that the religious symbols being covered up and the depictions of Obama as savior are very scary.I think that those who value their religion should start speaking up now.If not, the whole landscape and history of our country can change.
I would not put it past this administration to start taking down religious symbols and start changing the teaching of US history.The United States of America was founded a Christian nation.A nation that is not under God, cannot stand.It is up to Christians to keep that alive and to fight against the Communism and socialism that looms over our country today.

A very brave woman takes on Notre Dame and Obama’s immoral values.Mary Ann Glendon, a Harvard law professor and former ambassador, was going to be given Notre Dame’s highest honor, the Laetare Medal at the university’s May commencement.The Law professor when finding out that President Barack Obama would be the commencement speaker and also given an honorary degree, Ms. Glendon decided not to accept the award.Her letter to the University is within the article at this link:

Last night, I was able to watch the Lifetime original movie, “Natalee Holloway.” The true story which was known worldwide, is that of a teenager who went to Aruba on her Senior class trip. Then on the last night of her stay, she went out partying and left with three men telling her friends that she would be returning to her hotel. She never showed up. She also did not show up for her plane the next morning, sparking an international fury.
Aruba, generally considered a safe island, with very little crime. But even in the safest of situations, one lapse in judgment, someone can wind up getting hurt. This is what happened to Natalee. An honor student and very smart, Natalee she ended up in a dangerous situation, probably due to a lapse in judgment.
I admire the persistence and strength that Beth Hollaway Twitty has. She is still, five years later, she is trying to find out what happened to her daughter. I don’t know what I would do if something happened to one of my children.But Ms. Twitty has stood up to Aruban authorities and Mr. Joran Van der Sloot, the last person to see Natalee alive.The sad part is that she has been jerked around so much by Mr. Van der Sloot and the Aruban government.
Mr. Van der Sloot’s story has changed three times. First, he left her on the beach, then, he killed her as he told in a secretly videotaped confession, then next, he sold her. I am convinced Mr. Van der sloot killed Natalee. He has just done everything in his power to dodge authorities and get authorities away from the truth.
Van der Sloot should be in prison if not for killing Natalee, for obstructing justice. Clearly he knows what happened to her. He has no heart and he has been letting Natalee’s family and the American people suffer for all these years.He does not deserve to be a free man.
This story must not die and I hope one day, Mr. Van der sloot will crack from the pressure. Maybe it will happen when he gets married and has a child, if there is any heart. Mr. Van der Sloot does not deserve to live a normal life, Natalee cannot.

On a Saturday afternoon, in Washington, D. C., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s aide visited the Cardinal of the Catholic cathedral.
He told the Cardinal that Nancy Pelosi would be attending the next day’s sermon, and he asked if the Cardinal would kindly point out Pelosi to the congregation and say a few words that would include calling Pelosi a saint.
The Cardinal replied, “No. I don’t really like the woman, and there
are issues of conflict with the Catholic Church over certain of Pelosi’s views.” Pelosi’s aide then said, “Look. I’ll write a check here and now for a donation of $100,000 to your church if you’ll just tell the
congregation you see Pelosi as a saint.”
The Cardinal thought about it and said, “Well, the church can use the money, so I’ll work your request into tomorrow’s sermon.” As Pelosi’s aide promised, House Speaker Pelosi appeared for the Sunday sermon and seated herself prominently at the edge of the main aisle.
And, during the sermon, as promised, the Cardinal pointed out that House Speaker Pelosi was present.
Then the Cardinal went on to explain to the congregation — “While Speaker Pelosi’s presence is probably an honor to some, she is not my favorite person. Some of her views are contrary to those of the church, and she tends to flip-flop on many other views. Nancy Pelosi is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite, a thumb sucker, and a nit-wit. Nancy Pelosi is also a serial liar, a cheat, and a thief.
Nancy Pelosi is the worst example of a Catholic I have ever personally witnessed.
She married for money and is using it to lie to the American people. She also has a reputation for shirking her Representative obligations both in Washington , and in California . She simply is not to be trusted.”

Global warming and other environmental factors are all talked about these days as if science is sure that climate change exists.Well, climate change does exist but the scientific community does not agree on Global Warming.The only ones who agree on Global Warming are not scientists at all: the liberal news media and bureaucrats.
In July of 2008, a major scientific publication Physics and Society, talks about the mathematical errors in current global warming research done by the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).According to the report by Christopher Monckton, a former advisor to Margaret Thatcher, he says that 30 equations that computer models used by the IPCC, were pre-programmed with overstated values.These overstated values show that later this century, Carbon dioxide levels will double impacting temperatures by 500-2,000%.
What is scary about the inflated numbers is that the IPPC is supposed to be according to its website, “an objective source of information about the causes of climate change, its potential environmental and socio-economic consequences and the adaptation and mitigation options to respond to it.Groups such as the IPPC are constantly telling us that climate change is a concern when there numbers are skewed and temperature models inflated.

According to Nowpublic.com, a story on the web page talks about Brandy Bridges, a woman in Maine who accidently broke one of these bulbs in her daughter’s room.These bulbs contain mercury which is considered a neurotoxin.t was recommended by the manufacturer that she have this cleaned up by an environmental cleaner.
She was quoted $2,000 dollars and the room was still sealed off a month later because of the hazardous dust as a result of the accident.In addition carpeting and other fixtures had to be replaced.Insurance did not pay for it because mercury is considered a pollutant like oil.
Also, according to Nowpublic.com, “Dirty electricity is caused by energy-saving devices such as power bars and compact fluorescent light bulbs. To achieve the lower voltage, electricity is chopped up, allowing it to move slower and achieve energy efficiency. As a result, electricity spews outward and goes back through the wiring in your home, contaminating everything that is plugged in.”When electricity is contaminated, it spews off radiation.
Last week, the Insurance Institute of America deemed smart cars unsafe.Even in crash tests against smaller, regular cars, they were demolished.Bigger is safer in real life.
Wind turbines terrorized a Calumet County, New York family.The sound was deafening and the family suffered sleep problems and nerve problems.The family eventually had to abandon their home.
So the dangers of reducing carbon footprints supersede the dangers of global warming.Global warming is just a theory.Just like theories such as the world is flat and or that we come from apes.

Some counties in Florida are reconsidering the “crash tax,” a tax where someone is charged for police, ambulance, and firefighters in the event of an automobile crash.Whoever is at fault for an automobile accident has to pay a charge for services sometimes up to $600.00 for an hour.
One should be protected anyway by local services whether at fault or not.Taxpayer dollars already go to these services.We are all taught to call 911 in an emergency.Why should anyone be charged by the hour after calling 911 because they are in need of medical attention or police protection?
Why is it that prostitution is illegal everywhere else but over the internet? Why are prostitutes allowed to advertise on Craigslist (as masseuses or lapdancers) and be arrested everywhere else? Is it rocket science what these women are trying to do? Prostitution is illegal not so much because they are selling sex but because it is dangerous for both the service seller and client.
It is a shame because these deaths could have been prevented if every local police department had been combing Craigslist for criminals.Hopefully these crimes will start a frenzy where undercover police officers expose dangerous activities over the internet.The internet must be monitored by local law enforcement for those selling sex as well as buying it.It would take too long for the FBI to take action. An internet crimes unit should be added to every police department.
Miss California is a pageant winner with me.In California where gay marriage is a controversial subject, Miss California spoke out for the right side.Too bad she didn’t win but she won in my book. I don’t even like beauty pageants.
Only my closest friends know this about me, I have other talents besides writing and being witty. I have always loved to sing. I sang in the St. Brendan’s choir and on worship team in First Baptist and Cornerstone Community Churches for years. Unfortunately, I am too old for American idol and my dreams of going to Hollywood are still yet to be.
I love Karaoke but besides the karaoke stages of Quakertown and once Harrisburg (after a few drinks), I have only sung in the shower and the car. I do play “American Idol Playstation,” with my kids and win every time.
I’ve often watched Americal Idol and thought that I had more talent in my little finger than those up on stage. 47 year old Susan Boyle probably thought that too. She breaks all barriers and stereotypes. She did not let anyone tell her no or she’s too fat, too old, etc. She went for ther dream and now she is world famous.
I love her audacity. The way she shook her hips when she said told Simon Cowell her age and said, “That’s just one side of me.”
I also am a big fan of, “Les Miserables” and many times have sang, “I Dreamed a Dream,” in the auspices of my office and my Jaguar.Maybe my dreams are still yet to come true and the world will hear my spectacular voice someday. American Idol, here I come. Thank you, Susan Boyle!
Barack Obama is getting too familiar with Venezualan president Hugo Chavez. While we are having tea parties, trying to make our country better, Obama is slapping us in the face by meeting with Chavez.
In 2006, in front of the UN General Assembly, Chavez called President Bush the “devil” and praised Noam Chamskey, a socialist acitivist, for his writings against America. Even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Charles Rangel, Senator Tom Harkin, and former President Bill Clinton have all come out against Chavez and they are members of Obama’s own party. This just shows how extreme and far left Obama is.
Chavez even gave Obama a book named, “Open Veins of Latin America, Five Centuries of Pillage of a Continent,” which assails the US for it’s exploitation of Latin America. Obama accepted the book then posed for a picture with, “Chavez.”
The Venezualen news report is below. In it, you can desseminate that Obama ended talks with Chavez by saying, “Goodbye, my friend,” and Chavez ended with, “Adios, mi amigo.”
Recently, I have been inundated with tea invitations.Being a member of many organizations, women’s groups, etc., when I see “Tea Party” in my email inbox, I get very excited.Those who know me know that I have a cabinet stocked with different types of teas from all over the world.I also have a tea cup collection from all over the globe and I even frequent a local tea room.Lately though, I am being invited to a different kind of “Tea party” which excites me more.
Put away the fine linens and silverware.There is no need for engraved invitations and snobbery.The only thing you need for the tea parties of today is the desire for less government, more individual freedom, and more autonomy over personal wealth.
In order to know the reason for the tea parties of today, it is important to look back in history determine why Americans all over the country are destined to repeat it.According to www.eyewitnesstohistory.com accounts the reasons on its Boston Tea Party page:
The [American] colonies refused to pay the levies required by the Townsend Acts claiming they had no obligation to pay taxes imposed by a Parliament in which they had no representation. In response, Parliament retracted the taxes with the exception of a duty on tea – a demonstration of Parliament’s ability and right to tax the colonies. In May of 1773 Parliament concocted a clever plan. They gave the struggling East India Company a monopoly on the importation of tea to America. Additionally, Parliament reduced the duty the colonies would have to pay for the imported tea. The Americans would now get their tea at a cheaper price than ever before. However, if the colonies paid the duty tax on the imported tea they would be acknowledging Parliament’s right to tax them. Tea was a staple of colonial life – it was assumed that the colonists would rather pay the tax than deny themselves the pleasure of a cup of tea.
The colonists were not fooled by Parliament’s ploy. When the East India Company sent shipments of tea to Philadelphia and New York the ships were not allowed to land. In Charleston the tea-laden ships were permitted to dock but their cargo was consigned to a warehouse where it remained for three years until it was sold by patriots in order to help finance the revolution.
In Boston, the arrival of three tea ships ignited a furious reaction. The crisis came to a head on December 16, 1773 when as many as 7,000 agitated locals milled about the wharf where the ships were docked. A mass meeting at the Old South Meeting House that morning resolved that the tea ships should leave the harbor without payment of any duty. A committee was selected to take this message to the Customs House to force release of the ships out of the harbor. The Collector of Customs refused to allow the ships to leave without payment of the duty. The committee reported back to the mass meeting and a howl erupted from the meeting hall. It was now early evening and a group of about 200 men disguised as Indians assembled on a near-by hill. Whopping war chants, the crowd marched two-by-two to the wharf, descended upon the three ships and dumped their offending cargos of tea into the harbor waters. The reason for the Boston Tea party, the first Tea party, was that those who lived in the colonies, had no say in England’s Parliament, yet that same Parliament was taxing them.The colonists wanted to have a say in government as far as their financial well being was concerned.They wanted the liberty to use their earnings to forge their new lives, raise their families, and pass down to upcoming generations.People wanted less government control and more individual autonomy.That is what the Tea Party movement of today is all about.
Now there is not going to be any tar or feathering of IRS officials.There is not going to be any tea dumped.What there is going to be is a movement across the nation where people will gather in favor of more individual control over their wealth and less control of a government who has gone wild with its spending.

It is important to note that the issue of wasteful government spending goes beyond party lines.Members from both sides of the aisle have contributed to the ever growing national debt.The thing that turns Obama’s “hope” into horror is that the government is still to increase taxes and increase spending with no recourse or remorse.Average, everyday Americans are already feeling economic pressures from recession, to take more of their wealth away is a travesty!
Mad enough yet?There are ways that you can take serious strides towards the economic recovery of our nation and encourage autonomy and economic freedom of the individual.All over the nation today, as in 1773, there are peaceful demonstrations being held all over the nation to gather and voice American outrage over frivolous government spending and taxation.There will also be several upcoming events to keep the spirit of the new economic revolution going, showing continued displeasure with trivial taxation and government spending.
Two events I currently will be attending are in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.The first will be held today, April 15, 2009 at 7:00pm in front of the Bucks County Courthouse, 55 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.It was organized by Richard Scott who is an American patriot and Vietnam Veteran.Mr. Scott thinks that taxes are a prisoner’s ransom and that elected officials should know how angered citizens are.
The second event will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 1:00-3:00pm, Washington Crossing State Park, General Greene Pavilion, Washington Crossing, PA, 18977.This event is organized by tea4change, a group of Bucks County concerned citizens believing in government accountability and individual financial freedom.There is more information on www.Tea4Change.com.
It is great to know that there are Americans like in individual Rich Scott and the organization of Tea4Change who have the same beliefs as our founding fathers in 1773.“Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” refers to the individual, not the government and they are the reasons a new nation was forged!

Surprise, Surprise; The Mexican Senate sided with Elvira Arellano.According to a USA today article, a measure was passed, urging President Felipe Calderon to send a note to the United States protesting the deportation of Arellano, who took refuge in a Chicago church for one year and was arrested outside an immigration rally in Los Angeles on Sunday.Arellano was deported to Mexico the same day.
Arellano’s first order of business was to be present at a committee meeting of the Mexican Senate.The Senate also granted Arellano’s son a scholarship.Arellano wants the Mexican government to protect what she calls, “people migrating to another country.”
Why is Mexico having more of an influence on our laws?When S.9-The Amnesty Bill was being produced, it is reported that paid Mexican lobbyists practically wrote it along with other groups such as National Council of La Raza, The National Immigration Center, and several unions.Mexican amnesty activists also paid for a direct 800 number to senators.Press one when you hear the Spanish message, press one again and you will be transferred to your Senator’s office.
All Mexico is doing is supporting the fact that their citizens break the law.In the midst of the scandal in Newark where three college students were killed by an illegal immigrant, Mexico wants us to grant amnesty to people who break the law.It is also sad when the child of someone who breaks the law is given financial help.Arellano does have the opportunity to raise her son in Mexico but chooses to leave him with godparents.
How well are our borders being protected on the Mexican side.Arellano is also lobbying the Mexican government to let those who wish to “migrate” to the United States to do so.So once migrants leave Mexico, they are our problem, our financial system’s problem, and then potentially our criminal justice systems problem.Senators who support enforcing immigration laws should answer the Mexican senate with “No mas!”
The CBS reality show Kid Nation, which is scheduled to air on September 19, has come under scrutiny for violating child labor laws.According to a New York Times article, “Kid Nation’s” producers were warned that the show might be violating child labor laws.While being filmed in New Mexico at Bonanza Creek Movie Ranch, the show received several visits from state labor inspectors who were turned away from the set.An anonymous tip sent inspectors to the ranch.
“Kid Nation” is a reality show whose premise is that 40 children from age 8 to 15 are dropped off in what is deemed to be a ghost town.In the shows promo it says in the 1880’s it was a mining town and “lack of resources and lack of will combined to leave it totally dead.”In reality, no pun intended, it is a movie set which was built in the 1950’s and rebuilt in 1980, hosting an array of movies, television shows, and commercials (www.bonanzacreekranch.com).The only ghosts in this town are Jimmie Stewart and John Wayne who both made movies there.
After production ended in May, angry parents of one child complained to New Mexico officials that the treatment of the children bordered on abuse with children getting injured and working long hours.Some of the children drank bleach from an unmarked soda bottle.Another child was burned by a grease fire while cooking in a kitchen, unsupervised.The children were required to work 14 hour days.
Tom Forman, the show’s producer claims that the children were not employed by CBS.He likened the children’s stay to summer camp where activities are done and skills are learned.Each child was paid $5,000 for six weeks.Each child was free to leave whenever they wanted. Some left before production ended. Adult supervision was not supposed to be far away.
My children will not be watching this show.Not because of the child labor violations.Not because of the unreal reality.But because of the objectionable inferences that media has been trying to make about adults and parents.In the past few years, there has been an onslaught of shows that make adults look like buffoons.
On different television channels, children’s shows make kids look like they are smart and independent and have the ability to take care of themselves.Especially on Disney Channel, there are movies and shows that make parents, teachers, adults, etc. look like dimwits.Minors outwit parents by sneaking out and doing things on the sly.Is it any wonder that some of these shows star Lindsay Lohan?

What happened to the days of “Andy Griffith” where a young boy goes fishing with his dad?Mike and Carol Brady, even the maid Alice were always asked by the “bunch” what they thought was best.Where is Laura Ingalls going to Charles for advice?No, instead Laura is going to Nellie for advice on life and behavior.

On Saturday, Elvira Arellano, an illegal immigrant from Mexico was arrested in Los Angeles after an immigration rally.Arellano had left the sanctuary of Adalberto United Methodist Church in Chicago, where she had been for over a year, to avoid being separated from her eight year old son.Arellano claims that she left the church to campaign for immigration reform.
Arellano was already removed from the US in 1997 and re-entered the United States illegally.She was arrested in 2002 while working for a janitorial services company at the O’Hare airport in Chicago where she had access to, “security sensitive areas of the airport,” according to a press release issued by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.She also used another persons Social Security number to gain employment.
Now, the mainstream media is deeming Arellano an immigration activist.Since when does breaking the law become activism?Campaigning and working for the change of laws is activism. If you break the law, you can not campaign for its change after the fact.You then are a criminal.Not only did Arellano break the law once but several times.
Take taxes for instance.There are many working to change current tax law and even abolish the Internal Revenue Service (yahoo!) but they still pay taxes.Those who don’t pay taxes, like the late Leona Helmsley, get punished.I didn’t hear anyone calling her a “Tax Activist.”
Rev. Walter Coleman of the Adalberto United Methodist church and his wife, Emma are also at fault.They knowingly harbored Arellano, an illegal alien in the church since August of 2006.He then drove Arellano to Los Angeles where she was arrested after a rally at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Immigration is a good thing.It is great that people from different cultures and backgrounds can come to our country and even become citizens.Illegal immigration is not good.Enforcing immigration laws is first of all matter of national security.Someone who is illegal should not have access to any areas of our country let alone security sensitive areas.
Illegal immigration also hurts our system economically.Arellano was working using a false Social Security number.Was she paying taxes?Is she now a tax activist too?
I feel bad for her son who has probably been hurt the most in all this.Having two children and to be separated from them would be devastating.He probably does not understand except for his mother isn’t with him anymore.In Spanish, Arellano said to reporters, “From the time I took sanctuary the possibility has existed that they [US Custom and Immigration Officials] arrest me in the place and time that they want.I only have two choices, go to my country, Mexico, or stay and keep fighting.I decided to stay and fight.” Arellano decided to break the law.She also makes the US government look like they are at fault for arresting her after she broke the law.
I have great admiration for the US Customs and Immigration Enforcement officials who did their job. They did what they had to do to end the stint of someone who is here illegally, living off our system and hampering our national security.No, Arellano is not an activist.Hopefully she is an example to the other 11,999,999 people in this country here illegally.

People have watched Susan Boyle 100 million times in two weeks vs. Barack Obama’s inauguration speech which has only been watched 18.5 million times.
